Oz "Deba" Knife

Posted by Ramon Elzinga on

This is an Australian equivalent of one the Japanese collections most popular knives - the Deba knife.

It has a somewhat unusual shape, however the curve at the edge, the pointy tip and the widened spine on the knife make this the perfect all purpose BBQ knife - just like the Japanese Deba knife which is used for everything.

In the Australian version, the blade is double sided, mainly due to the fact that Australians are not used to using single beveled knives at with first use that style os uncomfortable.

It can be made in a variety of lengths however it's commonly around 7inches/
